The original photo, taken with a 3.2 mp camera, of the Mormon Temple and the setting sun. Note that they built the church on top of a hill to make it look taller. 





I'd already photoshopped out the traffic by using the clone stamp tool, and here I cropped it down to the central image. 





I noticed that Photoshop has different artistic filters, so I tried the stained glass -- it's ok, but there's no way (or no obvious way) to make the cells into variable sizes. All the cells are the same size. It's ok. 





This version is craquelure, or a style of painting with thick layers of pigment that results in a cracked appearance or texture. It works very nicely on this, making it even more impressionistic. Monet would have been jealous.
