News in the News

Majel Barrett Roddenberry died this morning, at the age of 76. The National Post (Canada) put together the top five scenes with her or her voice -- you recall, she was the voice of the computer throughout all the Star Trek shows and movies. She had just finished work on the new Trek movie, in fact.

She was well known in fandom as a very nice person, as well as a good actress.

Hey Ginger,
Dave and I came to visit your blog site. Read your postings, watched
some Star Trek footage, played a
little hangman. A very entertaining visit :-)
Tell Sonny happy birthday!

Hi Ginger Merry Christmas. I thought of you yesterday as I watched the Maryland State Police lift people out of their cars in the flood on River Road. Watching on my 15 inch LCD I couldn't see if you were among the "rising" stars. Hope you did not get caught in the rapids. Love, Auntie M

Hi Robbie, glad you all had a good time! That Hangman game is addictive, isn't it? Sonny says "Thank you! And Happy Holidays!"

Hi Auntie M! No, I was not anywhere near the River Road, although our water pressure was low until they stopped the worst of it. We've had other water main breaks closer to our house, but luckily enough not at our house -- one of the benefits of choosing a house high on a hill. ;-)
